Food was something old Curtis had to do, kinda like a chore most times, unless it came to grits. He loved him some grits. A little meat on the side always made things more better, as he would say. Playing the gigs at night and drinking, then sleeping til past noon. Breakfast wasn't on the menu as often as that last backwash of MD 20/20. Grits weren't instant then, as they are today. It took time and love to make some throw down food that was his favorite, time and love.....those were also commodities he was forever chasing. The Curtis Loew starter pack was his smokes, liquor, and extra strings for the real love of his life. His daily routine was less than routine, in his early days.
